I guess that I am very lucky. I already get my social security (I am 71) but I would be well if I was not getting it -- it is just "icing on the cake".

On a lighter note. When we had 3 dogs, a grumpy neighbor asked me " why do you have 3 dogs".
I replied that it was because the bylaws say we can't have 4.
It didn't cheer him up.😁

OK folks - a number of posts have been removed from this thread as they were either off topic or simply not nice, mostly the latter.

If you have a concern about a post, please use the report post function rather than amping up hostilities. Thanks for understanding.

In our case, I believe the limit is five. The answer then would be "because I'm still looking for two more..".

I suspect that would not cheer the grumpy neighbor up any at all

Right now we're taking ours out one at a time. It's very interesting to watch each of them acclimate to the whole process. They each seem to "hang up" at different points. Two are fine in the truck, one isn't quite settled in. None of them have figure out the steps on first sight. Each of them has had their own approach to working them out. It will be interesting when we find out who gets to sleep where with multiple "clients" for the choice spots ....

Bob - if your two pups are like mine, then about every hour of the night they will decide the other has the better spot and a swap is required.

That was on a "don't ask--don't tell" basis".

If a campground charges a per-dog fee, we stay somewhere else.

I think an awful lot of these rules are to give the management an excuse to pitch you out if you are creating a problem.
I no longer travel with pets, but the "rule stringency" test is accurate in my experience.

Too many people with no sense of propriety.

The written rules are there to have a deputy escort offenders away (loud drunks the usual offender).

Most folks are smart enough to stay away from the animals of others. Too easy to have problems.

And if those clean up, etc, everyone else is happy to wave and go about their business.
