Will this combo work?

I have a 2007 30' Classic with the hydraulic disc brakes. I'm looking to purchase a 2018 GMC 2500 HD Denali with the factory supplied brake controller. Will the brake controller in the vehicle work with my trailer?

We retrofitted hydraulic disc brakes to our 2014 Classic and the Brake-Rite brand pump and controls were incompatible with "every" built-in factory brake controller. Unfortunately this bit of information was mentioned by the selling distributor after a very challenging drive through mountains taking the tailer home after the installation. We found out how to bypass the 2012 Ram 2500HD built-in brake controller (very simple actually) and not throw error codes and now use the Tuson DirecLink NE controller with good results.

The original system installed by Airstream should work with most of the built in brake controllers. Look for electric over hydraulic settings and heavy duty since this is a heavy trailer.
