Volvo XC70 Caravan Mirrors

Hello, newbie here, so please forgive me if this was posted/answered somewhere else.
We will be picking up a new 16' AS Sport this weekend and our tv is a 2013 Volvo XC70 AWD. We're pretty confident that our tv will handle the load without an issue, but need advice on what caravan/camping/towing mirrors work best with our XC70. We love the look/ease of the CIPA mirrors, but doesn't seem to be a fit for the Volvo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

John, check out Milenco Aero. I replaced my McKesh with them and they are just excellent. Easy on and off, stable, high quality materials. Jim

Thanks Jim. Will check them out for sure. Our local Volvo dealer in Chicago was clueless when it came to caravan mirrors that would fit. Picking up our sport on Saturday. Very excited to say the least was an impulse buy while at the Chicago Boat & RV short this past weekend.

Here is what they look like. Got mine from Cosco. They ship them with the long arms on this side of the pond.Click image for larger version

And as a bit of a followup to Jim's above post, I cut several inches off the "arm" on mine to bring it in closer, as I had no need for the arms to be that long. I cut the arm with a tubing cutter, so it came out nice and smooth at the end.

I use the same model - adding another vote for their quality and stability. Mine live on a Honda Odyssey.

A little follow up. I have had a few folks ask me why I place the mirror in a vertical orientation. First of all, even with the mirror turned vertically, I can easily see behind the trailer.
The two real reasons I have it that way is first of all, it makes it easier to walk by it, like at gas stations, without bumping into it. The other reason is that it makes the trailer tires easily visible in the mirror. Call me pedantic, but I like to keep an eye on my trailer tires.

Volvo XC70 Caravan Mirrors

Well we brought home the new Sport last night. We loved the aero mirrors. They worked well, except the passenger mirror was pretty useless. We may need to extend it further so actually see a little more.
