I agree, go for it ... I shipped this '63 Crown Imperial Cvt. to Saudi Arabia. I sure hope you pay less than the Prince did for this one. They only built 469 of these! (21k actual)

Thanks guys... You all sound dangerous to go shopping with! The biggest problem with the tow car is storage for a convertible. We're building a new but tiny barn, but I'm wondering if sometime smaller then a Newport would make more sense. I've towed the Globie with the 160hp. 4 liter Ranger with no problem, even on the Jenner grade on Highway 1 in a driving rainstorm. I'm wondering if anyone tows with something smaller... like a Camero.

These are shots at taken in the mid-morning AZ sun. (Freakin' bright) And the paint and chrome are not all that good. (It will be repainted) However the camera does a good job of hiding all of the flaws.

Actually the fun part for me is working on this piece of history. That may be a little twisted. May be I have been out in the sun too long.

A barn or garage is never big enough! We built a 25 x 40 garage a couple of years ago and my car and hubby's truck still spend the winters out in the cold!

I'm curious to see how our "barn" actually gets used. It's 16x 24, but 3 stories tall... it's located on a steep slope and the car part is the middle level, guest room on top and my studio on the lowest level.

I'm just lovin' that 4-door Continental! A PE teacher at my high school had one, triple black '66, and I've wanted one ever since. Can we expect to see all these great tow cars all at the same Airstream meet in the future?

I do not yet have my vintage Airstream, but I do have the sweet cruiser to pull it - 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S convertible.

I also may have a line on a '68 Safari - wish me luck!!!

Now let me see.....Hmmmm, the top floor will fill up with Airstream parts and associated projects, camping gear,etc. You can always use the Airstream as the guest bedroom, like many of us do. Then there is the bottom floor, well because you will have a vintage car....it will soon fill up with guess what. But look at it this way, you wont have time to work in the studio anyway 'cause you'll be too busy with your toys! You might have some room to move in a couple of old recliners that you have found on the side of the road on trash day so that you and maybe a friend can kick back and relax without going into the house and have to face the implications of the '"real" world.

I guess in your area of the country you have numerous parts sources, although you may want to try this group: http://www.bakersauto.com/

I have had a few 1960/1 through 1967 Lincoln convertibles over the years and found parts @ Bakers. You may just ask them to mail you a catalog.

Thanks for the heads up Norm. I already know about Bakers. I belong to a Lincoln Forum (Duh, isn't all vehicle data on a forum somewhere?) since 2004 and got Bakers and a few others from that Forum.

Gee, I guess your right. Of course I can remember that in the past, only word of mouth to other club members and from the newsletters we recieved in the mail were effective. (pre-internet & email's prolific use)
Of course Hemmings has helped us for years! Thank goodness.
