Trailer Brake Controller ???

I am about to bring a '64 Sovereign home on a 100 mile trip. It has the Kelsey-Hayes brakes. I have a 2011 Ford Superduty with factory integrated trailer brake controller. Will this actuate the trailer brakes appropriately?

Kelsey-Hayes makes a variety of brake solutions including electric and electric-hydraulic solutions. To be confident my answer is correct requires more data than you provided. However, I suspect your trailer is equipped with electric brakes and the new OEM integrated controllers are compatible with those systems.

If your trailer has electric drum brakes, your Ford will actuate them.

Thank you!!

Now I just need to get some new rubber for it. Is there any way to get newer wheels (that aren't split rim) and still utilize the original baby moons? I would like to keep original appearance while not dealing with outdated technology in the wheels.
