But the best upgrade is still a Pro Pride hitch

I suspect you bed is 5.5 ft. I think a topper beats a bed cap for space. Maybe laminar air flow as well. Your gvw is fine. The tow weight is a brag with the ecoboost. We operate 6 or so f150s.

The rear step bumper needs a step...
It's too high.
A step to get onto the step...
My truck can only have the step on the driver side due to where the exhaust exits on the passenger side, so I have to always walk around to the driver side or step over the trailer hitch.
It' rough being short and round sometimes.
The trucks get taller with every update/body style change.
Some Ford trucks have a ladder and hand rail built into the tailgate.
