That hitch could support two bicycles perhaps, and who needs w.d/sway control? That is funny as h___ Bob!

I'm sorry, that whole set-up just scares me. Worst part is, someone will look at this and say 'hmmm, if they did it on tv.......'
Honestly, I wonder how long this ad will last before an attorney has it pulled from the air.
Thanks, Derek

And that Barrister should be on a JC retainer.
Makes you wonder if the ad department screened/approved or even knew of it's use.

Well, it does have a 5000 lb towing capacity!

In Canada they could easily tow a 34 footer with this thing.

Don't confuse me with the facts

From Nissan sales copy...

"The previous Pathfinder was a heavy, rugged truck adept at off-road adventures and towing. But its downsides included cramped quarters for second- and third-row passengers, a trucklike driving demeanor and mediocre fuel mileage.

Yes, the lighter and more efficient new Pathfinder gives up some towing capacity to its forebear, but it can still tow up to 5,000 pounds. That's a strong number for a midsize, seven-passenger crossover..."

Hey, follow (not too close) that down the road. You just might be able to get a free Airstream when that hitch setup fails. Looks like a 1". Is it?

This needs a "like" button.

I think 2013 Nissan Pathfinder's message is that "No toy is left behind" with their CVT transmission, V-6 and tow mode, not necessarily with any particular hitch setup:

Yes.... but no lights or brakes, I think even the Frostback's require that.

I saw the P-finder ad on TV last night towing a 31' mid 70's Airstream. At least the trailer looked nice......

Tow capacity? It probably doesn't matter if he has this setup?

I guess it is because of Canam RV in Canada experimenting with towing large trailers with really small tow vehicles. I don't know what drivers and roads are like in Canada but towing large trailers with small tow vehicles will get you killed on interstates here in the states. The tail will wag the dog.

Guys, I think that all of the "my bigger truck is better" crowd should do a little more homework. Andy Thompson (CanAm RV) is one of the most knowledgeable towing people in North America. He has written articles in numerous RV mags as well as Airstream Life. Attend one of Andy's towing seminars at Alumapalooza and you may become a convert as I have. There is so much more to safe towing than just having the heavy truck.
Talk with Airsteamers that are towing with what you may think are unconventional vehicles---I think that you may rethink your position on what is important for safe and comfortable towing.
