Towing gutted out

I really want to attend the Texas Vintage Rally next month if I can get the new floor in,running lights and brakes.
Any problem towing gutted with interior panels off?I have to rewire and do several other things I won't be able to finish in that time.
I would be showing up with basically an aluminum tent, but would really like to make it to the event.

I'm by far not an expert, but I believe that the interior panels provide an integral piece to the overall structural stability of the frame.

Sorry, I wouldn't do it!

I could be wrong. That said, As long as you have the floor, shell and frame connected securely you should be able to camp in your aluminum tent. The inside skin is not really structural. Take some test runs to see how it tows. You might need some weight in the front.

Go for it!

Steve,

The inside skin is very structural. You don't say how far the rally is and what type of road, local or interstate. I would be very concerned if the trip was long over interstates. You might put back a few panels to reinforce the shell if the trip is short.

It's about 200 miles.Have the option of Interstate or 2 lane through small towns.

Yes, go for it.
Maybe you are biting off more than a big wad of chew, maybe not.
Lights, brakes, then do the floor.
When you get to the rally, listen up, then decide what is best.
Frame off restoration? Patching?
The floor is part of the structure.

By some 1x2's and make a bunch of braces across and front to back. You should have this anyway if you have the inner skins out. Go have fun.
