Tow Vehicles at the Ontario Fall Rally

Fall Rally Combination List:
When I was at the Ontario Unit Fall Rally last week I was walking around in the morning with my camera and for kicks I took a picture of every unit. So I made a list of the combinations, I don’t know why? It might be interesting to do it again in 10 years and see how much has changed. Attached is a list in a word file and some totals at the bottom. I might be out a little on some of the tow vehicle model years but they are all in the same generation of that vehicle.

Interesting data, Andy. The item that surprised me the most was the last chart, the trailer size one.

The most popular size is the 34-footer! And they haven't even been made in the last, what, three years?

Thanks for the numbers, Andy.

I wonder how many of those are your work, Andy? It might be fun to try a similar exercise at somewhere where your influence isn't so great.

We'll be at the Fall Rendezvous in Milton, in early October. I'll report back.

I think there are more 34's because we pretty much always had a 34 set up for test drives so people could see how nicely they tow.

In other areas people had the perception that the third axle must mean it is too hard to tow a 34.

A couple of the units have really long term ownership. The 1968 30' has been owned by the same couple since 1975. The 1996 Suburban has been towing the 1982 Limited since it was new.

Hi. Where and when is this Milton meet up? Do we have to be members of an organization to attend? I don't think our Argosy will be road worthy by then but it would be great to see other trailers.

And,are there any Ontario groups we can join or annual SW Ontario/Ontario rallies that our Argosy would be allowed to attend

Kelly

That's the Ontario unit of the WBCCI. Last time I spoke with one of the organizers, about 35 rigs were confirmed.

Details here, under upcoming events: Ontario Unit WBCCI

I am a new member myself, but from what I have been hearing visitors are very welcome.

Thanks Andrew! On a side note, we plan on coming over to Canam and having someone look her over. We need to replace the tires and make sure everything else is sound before we take on the 401 though. It looks like it will probably be next spring when that happens but I want to come by and just do a little shopping In the meantime, I've just been creeping your website a lot.
