Huh, nice. I'm guessing the high pressure fuel pump that ford buried inside the engine that's gear driven and requires a near complete tear down after lifting the cab will never fail. At least the cummins pump is mounted externally to the block. Seen em both go bad on our fleet rigs from fuel contamination. Warranty will never cover fuel contamination failures. Check out the truck forums if you really want to read some gut wrenching stories on late model truck owners dealing with these issues. Maybe not, it's too depressing. I'm out.
Reman injection pump 800 and a set of injectors 1400, if you buy clean fuel and keep it clean no problems, my 3406E has 1357000 miles on original turbo and injectors, so that shows you take care of your equipment it will last,my 6.7 has 90000 on it and never had any problems, and it is sure nice here in sunny San Diego ...
Well I did not read all the post BUT here is my 2 cents. I have a MDT to pull my Airstream. Being an ASE Master mechanic I know maintance and upkeep. If you sit down and really look at the numbers my truck is the best deal. With the tight turning radius and getting 12 mpg I am doing the same if not better than others. My truck is custom built for me and was designed by me. I should get a million miles in this truck so I do not need to buy another one before I die. My wheel base is the same as a king cab Ford and I fit into a normal parking space at the store. Yes I am tall and it is somewhat a pain in the downtown cities but I do not go into a city unless I have to. Brand new I spent 98,000.00 $$$ All air ride and heated air ride seats.
