Tow vehicle easy in/out
After enjoying working in a service pick up for 30 years. I have some thoughts on going into a cab and jumping out of a cab,of a tow vehicle up to 30-40 times a day.
I am not a word smith so hang in there with me.
A 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive is the easiest of all trucks to climb into. A 4 wheel drive is more capable. But. Sets much higher for jump in and out.
Factory running boards are very important.
Factory grab handle at driver and passenger side door is critical.
Back up camera is critical for hitching.
(I do not have one)
I find a pick up bed is the easiest to use.
A slide is even better.
Carry a Werner 2 step if needed.
I would not even think to remove my hitch
at all. I move steel for a living and the rear of a pick up is the business end of the vehicle. No one should be back there but the user.
To much dang work.
I write these words to try to help our brethren who are getting older and mobility and strength can be an issue..
I’m always looking for ways to make
my moves,with the least effort.
Just putting it out there.
