squeek in the hitch.

When we have the airstream hitch up, and we use the bars with the chain links (5 links) It seems to make alot of creaking and popping is this normal. Our hitch ball seems to be greased enough and the trailer pulls great and true. It's when we come to a stop or turn. Also should we take the bars off when backing up into a spot or our driveway.

It is probably normal noise and nothing to worry about. There are some significant stresses on the system and most noises are to be accepted and not worried about. A little oil or grease at contact points is helpful.

I always take the bars off when I'm parking at home because I have a rear clearance problem. Otherwise, at campsites, etc. I seldom remove the bars unless I'm ready to unhook.

I take my bars off on wet ground

It puts weight back on the rear wheels so I can get better traction.
The trick is to do it before you get dug in the soil.
