Simple hitch with seat control options?
I am towing a ‘52 Cruisette that weighs less than 2000 fully loaded. Currently I just have a Curt drop shank with 2” ball but would like some sway control as the trailer is so light and I worry about sway from trucks that are passing. For my other AS’s I have Eaz-Lift hitches with sway control and WD but those seem like overkill for this tiny trailer. What would you use if it were you?

Yeah, I know. But I would have to have a third setup because ai alteady habe two with different ball heights and this Cruisette is even lower. I was hoping for something a little less heavy or big, I don’t know. Just a little less everything. Lol I have too many trailers...

Welcome Aboard!! 👍
I used two of these on our 23' Safari single axle...worked very well on an old Reese Straight Line.🤓

Ball height is two bolts. Maybe a different shank. Not a big deal to swap once you have it figured out. Not heavy really. Pat

I've ordered an Eaz-lift 800# with sway controller. From what I see I think I need to order a shank as well. I have a 2017 Touareg and a 2018 AS Sport 22FB (4500#GW and 422#HW). Where do I find a short shank to order? I don't have tools to drill a hole in a long shank. The receiver I have is stock, with a 8" from the rear of the receiver foward though the receiver to the frame. And a 2" distance from the rear of the receiver to the pin hole. I'd appreciate comments about the length of shank needed. The shortest I've seen is 12". TIA, Roy

Look at the Fastway E2 hitch. It's the baby brother of the Equalizer, but made for lighter use.
