I am very happy with them but if you decide to remove the hitch they make it pretty awkward and heavy to carry or set anywhere.
I loosen the bolts before I take the hitch out of the receiver. I turn the shank downward and let the rock tamers slide off so they are face up on the ground. I then store them in the garage separaClick image for larger version

The 3 option I like best. Use a lock and leave them on the truck. Lol

How I handle that issue.

What an outstanding solution! I bet it rolls right up to the receiver and slides right in without lifting it up with your hands.

Depends on the TV. I tilt up the front, hang the tip of the stinger into the receiver, roll the dolly away and push it on in. Removal is the reverse. I must confess, some other old forum timer had the idea a long time ago. Sorry, do not recall who. It was back in about 2011ish.

Bought a set from Airstream and set them up per directions. They recommend a minimum 12" distance from exhaust pipe so I set it up that way with the proper road height. Exhaust deformed my mud flap so I purchased a heat shield which doesn't look like it will do the job. Going to replace that flap, install the shield and purchase an offset exhaust tip and see how that works.

So how high should the Rock Tamers be off the ground?

I’ve had my Rock Tamers for about 15 years. No complaints. Do their service well.

I recently lifted my trailer and needed to change my hitch drop from a 6” to a 4”. Hitch is a Hensley Arrow. The Rock Tamers mounted perfectly on the 6” drop. Tried them on a Hensley 2” drop; perfect. However, Hensley sent me a 4” and it wouldn’t fit into the truck hitch.

The Hensley folks wanted me to use an extended hitch bar; way long and caused many other challenges. The truck claims that the Rock Tamers will not fit on their standard hitch bars. Strange as it has worked on two of the three I have tried. So, here is my question:

Anyone else using a 4” Hensley Arrow drop hitch bar with Rock Tamers?

On a standard Hensley drop hitch bar? I love them too. Need to mount them on a proper drop bar.
