OK, I have been looking for an appropiate area for my question, and this topic is close. We want to add a couple of bicycles. We have a 2005 31' classic and tow with a 2500 Dodge diesel. Would 2 lightweight bikes add a significant amount of weight to the back? OK, maybe we could put some cool looking bikes on, but how would you add to the bumper? I have to admit that I am not crazy about disturbing the pristine Airstream look with a bike rack. For short trips we have put the bikes inside the Air, but we really would like to fine a better solution. ...on top of the truck? (now that would look awkward) Any thoughts from the experts?

hi 'barstow...

search using bicycle or rack as the term...

here are some relevant threads...

there are also a few threads on a canadian made rack that goes OVER the lp tanks, but it's pricey.

and there are several GOOD racks that go above the truck/suv or over the shell and on the hitch/receiver...

check thule and yakima and saris websites...

or one of the 'bike rack' online retailers that carry many brands..

all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.
