Ready to go

Received the Hensley last Thursday, put it on Tuesday (took 3 hours, read each step after doing it to make sure no mistakes were made otherwise would have been considerably less then 3 hours). Took the AS for a trial ride of about 100 miles yesterday. This was our first time of towing a trailer, we had a motorhome previously. The ride included country roads and Interstate. Actually looked forward to having trucks pass us on the Interstate to see how it affected us. On the fast passers we felt a small push that was considerably less then when in the motorhome but there was no sway. The combination of the AS/pickup seemed like one solid unit. No porposing so I guess I have the weight distrubtion bars tensioned correctly. The AS towed beautifully although I don't have anything to compare it to from previous experience. Had no trouble maintaining 65mph on I40 in mid-Tenn. Actually had to concentrate on not going over 65. One thing I found myself doing was getting too close to the white line on the drivers side. With the motorhome, what we were riding in was wider that what we were towing (a Jeep Grand Cherokee) but now the AS behind us is wider than the TV. Had to keep reminding myself of that during the drive. Anyhow, whatever butterflies I had before the trial run were gone quickly. We're packing the AS and will head to Ft Clinch SP in Florida next week for our first outting. Even though we have been serious RV's spending 6-7 months per year on the road previously for the last 7 years there is an excitement of seemingly just starting. See you on the road.
Stay safe and healthy with safe travels.

Sounds great. Have a nice trip. I hope you will still be able to make the LBL mini rally next month.
