RAM 1500 Eco Diesel Emission Reprogram

Earlier this year I received notification about the settlement for the Ram Eco Diesel emission case. If I am correct one has to have a dealer "update" the engine software (I read that addresses the need for more DEF to be injected into the emission system), send copies of registration, receipt of dealer updating software and the form that sent via mail and one would receive $3000 payment from settlement fund.

Has anyone participated in this event?

I did it for my EcoDiesel Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was painless. The software update had no noticeable effect on the Jeep’s performance (none that I could see). You’ll need to send the documentation, either by uploading scanned copies to their website, or by US mail.

Once you start the process, keep checking the tracking page to make sure you don’t get lost. I had to call them twice to ask why it hadn’t progressed to the next step and in both cases they moved it along while I was still on the phone.

I got my check about a month after the last call to push them along.
