Smile RAM 1500 Air Suspension & Equalizer WD Hitch

Alot of different opinions on the correct set up procedure for a WD Hitch & a RAM with factory Air Suspension. I asked the RAM Dealer & realized his knowledge was of the very limited variety, called Equalizer & left that conversation with a headache, asked an RV Tech & got the genarac answer "they're all different", so I researched this forum & in a very short time had the knowledge I was looking for, THANK YOU AIR FORUM.
When my 2016 AS 25 ft. was ready for deliver I brought my truck & new Equalizer hitch to the dealer and told the service manager that I wanted to discuss the installation & set up with Tech, she was very helpful. The Tech was knowledgeable about air suspension (I knew that because I too had gained that knowledge) and we agreed that I would be the one to disconnect the air via the screen computer, he would do his job, not move the truck because it would reactive the air suspension and hopefully when the air was reactivated the set up would work correctly & it did. My RAM with air off is level & weight distributed with tension on the bars, with air on its the same so the leveling is being done by the bars not the air bags. Knowledge is power, thanks again forum.

Good to know, looking now and a ram is a possibility.
So you disable the air, don't move the truck, adjust the distribution, and then move. When you move the air kicks back in.
How did you turn off the air?

To disable the air suspension, go to settings in the radio screen, scroll to suspension and, check mark tire jack mode, this will deactivate the air & the truck will remain at driving height. If you were to check mark the transport mode it would also deactivate the air but the truck would lower and that is not what you want.
