Prodigy P2 vs P3

My AS brakes have been working periodically for awhile now..I think I'll start at my very old brake controller and work my way back..I see I can purchase the P3 for about $10.00 more than the P2.... which do you think is best? I will be installing it into a 2001 F350 Dually...

I think the main advantage of the P3 over the P2 is that it can also handle electric-over-hydraulic brakes. I like the display of the P3, but I never had a P2 so I chose based on the feature set and the display.

Hi, I went from the Voyager to the P-3; Newer and a few better features, why not?

Started with a P2 on the Cayenne S - had a P3 with the Touareg TDI, spend the little bit extra and get the P3, nicer display and to myself was a bit more sensitive and smarter on applying brakes - after all, dont' go cheap on the device that is used to slow that big silver slug behind you down, especially in a "panic" situation!
BUT = integrated F350 is the best as its INTEGRATED....

My P2 was stolen recently - casualty of either a valet parking guy or carwash.

The P3 was close to the same price as the P2 at Amazon - and it's got a much nicer display. Both work great.

By far the best price I could find on either was at Amazon...

If you want the ultimate controller... check this out on a previous thread...

There's a link to the AS store for this rig (in this thread)... you can also get them from the vender with a web search...

We're very happy with ours, as it's easy to adjust on the 'fly' if road conditions change - wet, gravel, dry, etc...

I have had both the P2 and the P3 on two different tow vehicles. The P3 is a much nicer unit for the few dollars difference.

I have used the P2 for the past 7 years. When it stops working I will go for the P3 or maybe the P4 will be out by then...

Thanks guys for info.. I purchased the P3 from Amazon and it should be here Monday...I've done the last 10k miles(including the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway) with non working trailer brakes..I guess I'll start with this new controller and work my way back...
