New TV

Hey Folks, I know this has been beaten to death in different threads, but I am curious. Getting ready to get new TV, have kinda narrowed it down to a F250 (gas) or RAM 2500. I can analyze all the numbers and all of that. But what in particular made the decision of one or the other right for YOU.

Can you still get the manual trans with the Cummins?

I've looked at both and just last week purchased the RAM 2500 with Cummins.

My reasons were:
1. The price of the RAM was about 5k to 7k less for the same basic options.
2. The Cummins engine has a proven track record.
3. I thought the F-250 seemed much bigger (although this is mostly perception)
4. I thought the ride was a bit better in the RAM.

The F-250 is a new design and has more features (like blind side monitoring, adaptive cruise control, etc.) Those things are a plus if they are of value to the buyer.

But both are great trucks and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I drive on salt treated roads. I will take the aluminum truck. My part of the country is littered with late model Dodge/Rams with rusted out bed sides. The steel pickups from other makes do not rust out nearly as quickly.
