Had the same issue with our '08 Bambi, settled on a combination Master lock, hardened steel. Also used a Master steering wheel lock for a while, slotted well into the stock wheels.

A cheap lock beats no lock. And in any case a cordless angle grinder will be through any lock device in seconds.

Just a second thought. Any lock will only serve, successfully or not, as a deterrent. Your best protection is a stated value insurance policy IMO.

Okay, ended up buying this one:

http://immobilize.com/products/coupl...r-coupler-lock

It's only taken a lot of on line research to NOT find a lock that will fit. 5 minute call to California Immobilizer and I found out they do make an Airstream specific lock. So yeah, if someone has a lot of time on their hands and the right tools they will get a coupler lock off. But most criminals are looking for a quick grab and go. So a California Immobilizer on the ball part and a masterlock on the flip up part on the coupler should be plenty to deter an amateur thief. If I happen to run into a professional Airstream thief then at least I tried.

After I had a zeroturn mower stolen out of my yard and hauled away on my 16' utility trailer I got serious about locking down my Airstream.

Here's a pic of what I use. No one is going to get through the Fastway lock without making a LOT of noise. Then they have to cut the Master lock holding the hitch lever down to use the hitch.

The only key in the Master Key Hider is the deadbolt key. The other keys are hidden in the trailer.

Wheel cover locks as well as hitch. Even a fast cutting tool starts to take time.
