Question NCC for '88 Excella

We recently bought a 1988 Excella 1000, 32' (no Dinette, side bath and twin beds). The manufacturer plate refers to a GVWR of 8300#, as does the "book", but neither give the empty weight, and the Net Carrying Capacity (NCC).

Does anyone know how I can get it. I note that the twin axles are rate at #4000, so I assume the indicated wight includes all travel gear.

Thanks!

Welcome Muthes. If you will access the Airstream corporate site, then click on Airstreamer at the top of the page, then trailer weights in the left margin of the following page, then Trailer Weights, then complete list, you will find a rather complete list of all models produced by AIRSTREAM. Your trailer's dry weight is listed there as being 6300 lbs. with a hitch weight of 700 pounds. Again, welcome.

And I would not believe it for a minute. First, that was empty weight without options. Do you know what options your coach has and what they weigh? Second, a lot can change in 16 years. Do you know what modifications have been made, and what they weigh?

Go to a truck stop and weigh it on a truck scale. There are some good threads in the archives on how to get your truck, trailer, and tongue weights.

Good luck,

Mark

I tend to agree with J54MARK. Take everything out and weigh it, then replace everything, fill the tanks and weigh it again. Only then will you know where you stand.
