Our 25' (actually 26' long) Flying Cloud, 22' pickup and another foot for the hitch receiver is longer than your proposed rig. I have no problems.... including Mather CG at GC South.

Our 2014 Classic model 30 has a GVW of 10,000 pounds and a literature tongue weight of 733 pounds. Our empty weight at the factory was several hundred pounds less than the literature weight as we omitted Airstream's bedding and only added 50 amp service and a second air conditioner.

After installing the ProPride and a 800 watt solar system with four 92 pound Lifeline 6Vdc 300 amp hour batteries, the tongue weight is closer to 1,345 pounds.

The wide body (8' 5.5" wide) 31' Classics are going to be close to 7,300 pounds empty.

From your Airstream Owners Manual.

Warning: The tongue weight should be approximately 10%
of the trailer’s total weight, but MUST NOT EXCEED 1,000 lbs. And, under
no condition should it exceed the hitch rating.

Great Basin National Park

We are heading to Neveda and would like to visit the Great Basin National Park near Ely in Oct. We have a 31'. Staying there is an option. Does anyone have a comment about finding a suitable site in the park for our rig?
