Maybe I'm nuts

I may be completely wrong about this, do not hesitate to tell me if so, wont be the first time. My thinking about using the Equal-i-zer, never have done so, is that the stabilization bars also serving as the weight distribution can cause an issue if you do not need much weight distribution. It would seem that the friction used to stabilize would be less and therefore create a situation that would possibly cause more sway than lets say a hookup that required more weight distribution. Is that right?:

I believe the angle on the Equilizer head amplifies the sway control and is therefore part of the correct setup of this hitch to achieve the appropriate sway control for the required weight distribution. Disclaimer - no experience with this brand so I may have it wrong. See the specific threads on this hitch. Pat
