Welcome to "the Inland Empire"

Moses Lake has a really cool store called Tri State Outfitters. Check it out - camping gear, etc.

There is seriously cheap camping at the county fair grounds or good views at Cascade Campground as well - highly recommended.

Check out the farmers market: Moses Lake Farmers Market

BTW- that place in George with the cheap fuel - avoid the bean burritos in the hot case.

For a forum that is largely devoted to advice, both sound and otherwise, that burrito alert may rise to Hall of Fame stature. lol

Burrito, on a trip to Helen, ga I had what they called the Killer Burrito at the Troll Tavern, on the river under the bridge in downtown Helen. The burrito almost lived up to its name! Will never forget it. Sorry to hijack. Jim

I am waiting to see if you get a brand new head unit, or a refurbished one from Hensley.

We visited Tri State Outfitters in Moses Lake. Neat place. We spent a couple of hours there.

Our replacement control head for Lucy's Hensley is expected to be here TODAY! The UPS Tracking shows that it is "out for delivery" in Moses Lake. We understand that the UPS man comes to the campground around noon. Hopefully, Lucy will be operational later today. We will report with pictures.

I am glad you have seen and enjoyed Eastern Washington. I liked your many photos, and have been to a lot of the locations you shot them in. I lived and worked in Pullman for many years. Most people have no idea how diverse Washington State is, from rain forest to deserts. And a whole lot of very nice people too. You have found interesting places and scenes on your forced stay, and It is so very nice you seem to have enjoyed them.

BTW, the original Tri State Outfitters is in Moscow Idaho. An institution there too.

I hope your new hitch parts arrive and fit well. Safe travels, and come back to visit the NW anytime.

The New Hitch did arrive today. Lucy's old Hensley was Number 8332. The replacement hitch is a reconditioned unit and is number 12515.

It took us about five hours to remove the old hitch and install the new one. Much of that time was spent planning our next move.

We got the installation done, and everything seems ready to go.

Here are a few pictures of the process.

The swap-out of the Hensleys was fairly easy. Doing it at a campground 3,000 miles from home did add a little drama as neighbors stopped by to ask what in the world we were doing.
