Jack tilt

I have rescently installed a Propride P3 hitch. Things seemed to go OK, except the torsion jacks tip out instead of staying straight. Tightening the 1/2 bolt thru the spacer against the frame, makes condition worse, and spacer gets loose. I have used the extra 1/2 nuts that came with the unit to tighten up against the frame to help lock in place. Has anyone else dealt with this issue.?

Jack tilt

Did you get a set of shims with the jacks? Are the U-bolts installed first and tightened properly?

On my trailer, I’ve never had the jacks tilt at all.

If not, contact Sean at ProPride for assistance. He should also be able to answer any questions on install problems or provide parts to solve any issues.

Some pictures would also help.

Im trying to remember exactly how I installed the shims (you have those right? Like 1/2” steel plates?). I’m not at the trailer but will try to get a pic this weekend if I can. Once I installed them, they haven’t moved and they keep the towers perfectly straight.
