Jack problem

I raised the jack all the way up to release the trailer from the truck and tried lowering the jack but all I hear is clicking like a gear trying to engage. Is there something I can do to lower the trailer "super jack". The jack does not seem to have a manual crank that I can find.

You have run the jack up against the upper limit stop. If you have the hand crank that should have come with the jack hand crank the jack down a few turns to get off the the limit.

Electric should work one you are off the stop.

Where is the manual lever located so that I could possibly attach a wrench to lower?

You would remove the power head by losing up two set screws, the shaft will then be exposed to use the crank handle or "vise grips"

What about using a bottle jack to release the load currently on the jack. If you lift the trailer jack up and free of the ground it may be able to retract on its own without any disassembly of the head.

It isn't a big deal to remove the head. There are two "allen" set screws, front and back just under the head that you unscrew or take out enough so that the head of the jack will turn or lift. Then just lift it off. Only problem is MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT STRIP THE HEAD OF THE BOLT OUT. If it seems you are going to do that step back and do some figuring on your next step............

Remove the head of the jack and there is a slotted tube to insert all kinds of on the road devices to turn the rod. Otherwise go to a trailer/camper supply and get you the much needed handle......God bless......Dennis

The idea of jacking the trailer with another jack may be a first attempt. Take the load off the trailer jack and attempt to lower the trailer jack with the electric switch.

What has happened is you have jammed the shaft in the jack and the motor is forcing against it and releasing against the safety clutch. By removing the weight load on the jack it may be enough to allow the motor to move the jack shaft.
