I need your advice for a 22' Bambi Sport!

Hi All, last summer we said goodbye to our '66 OverlanderAnd am glad to say we just acquired a 2011 Bambi Sport 22'!

So my question is, we want to do it right. Will some of you fanatics give me your best suggestions on what is the best tire size, braking system and control hitch we need as well as any other suggestions?

We are towing with a 2006 F-150.

Also any thoughts on solar panels, do they work? Dual batteries?

Thanks!

The tires that came with the trailer are sized for it's load capability, should be an ST225 75R 15.
At the least a 600# weight distributing hitch, preferably with the Strait-Line Reese system (you'd need the Reese WD for this).
Not much roof room for Solar, but the bigger the better 145 Watt will fit, save a few dollars and go with the 10Amp controller unless you plan on adding panels, then a 30Amp would be necessary.

Greg, thanks! I need specifics. What brands to you recommend? I have a friend who has a new hitch system that is good to UP TO 1000# but I read somewhere you have to get one that is 600#. What's the difference and what's the danger?

Are dual batteries with an isolator switch just as effective as solar?

Congrats on the new BAmbi! Yes, dual batts are a good start... add solar as you have the $$ and inclination.
