We have just had our hitch put on at CanAm in London, Ont . Our drive home was good. Being newbies we are not sure what to expect. Our next time out hauling the AS there was a terrible screeching sound almost like the frame of the tow vehicle was straining. Like really loud so much so that we could hardly hear ourselves talk. Think it is the torsion bars. To me this is not right. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's not unusual for the torsion bars to make a loud "metal on metal" sound as you turn. It seems especially pronounced in the campground when you are making a lot of low speed turns. Knowing that it's OK, you can live with it, or do as we do which is to put a small amount of lithium grease where the bars touch the cams on the trailer as well as on the hitch ball itself.

We have the same issue with our Eaz-Lift hitch from Can-Am. We find it's the anti-sway bars that make the sound so we loosen them when we enter a campground and tighten them near the exit when leaving. This seems to take care of the problem.
