Guess the hitch setup

Whereas these forums are all about supposition and conjecture, that is exactly what this thread will be about, as the only information available is the photo attached. My wife took this to show me the trailer, but it ended up being the hitch up that interested me the most.

I can't imagine how it goes around a corner...

So, what does everyone guess as to it's rigging?

Man that trailer is close to the TV bumper... is the little bit of tongue directly into the vehiclesí receiver? Maybe some sort of universal joint between them? So strange...

I donít know ó it sure looks tight up against the bumper. But I couldnít help but notice that the left tail/brake light is out :-)

It could be camera lens compression. If this photo was taken with the 100 mm lens or more, or zoomed in, then the photo would have a compressed look which could give the appearance that the trailer is closer to the truck then should be.

The front of trailer appears to be resting on some sort of platform or trailer that is connected to TV at two points.

OR, an optical illusion.

Bet the coach frame is bolted to the TV frame. There is a poster that wanted similar, but can't find one as they are no longer built.

"Can't understand how it goes around corners" must mean the picture you have does not adequately show the mechanism. But it should make for an interesting discussion. Pat

Can see something below the bottom left corner of the bumper ... almost like some kind of assembly that connects between the tv axle and the as frame. Can’t wait for the final show and tell!
