2010 Jeep Commander 5.7L Hemi, averages 16.9 mpg. Best ever was 17.4.

Towing our 2008 Safari Sport 22' for 500 miles averaged 12.3 mpg.

We're currently on our first trip to the Northeast, visiting Niagra falls, Vermont, New Hampshire, Boston, Cape Cod, and now down to Gettysburg.

Seems we have to drive slower up here, and our mileage has gone up to an average towing of 13.5. Best we have ever done.

Man, the roads up here really suck!

9-10 mpg is about it for us. Our 2008 2500 Suburban is 2WD with a 4.10 rear end.

19ft 2009 international Bambi towed with 2010 VW Touareg VR6 (gas). Maiden voyage driving it home from Colonial Airstream @ 65mph: 12.2mpg. Get 20mpg without trailer. Towed great!

I just returned to Arizona with my 23' International that I bought in Oregon. It was 1260 miles, and I had to cross three mountain ranges. According to the computer, I got an average of 14 mpg towing with my Mercedes ML320 CDI. I had the cruise control set to 60 mph on the first day, and 65 on the second. I usually get around 25 mpg when not towing.

10.5 MPH returning to Austin from Mission, TX at 55 to 60 MPH with 35 MPH head wind. I am glad I was not towing a big 5th wheel or other square box SOB. Strong head winds do make a big difference since I normally get 12 to 13 MPG at 60 to 65 MPH.

Ethanol Content of the gas will effect miliage. When I came back from FL last week. I got better miliage and I was driving faster. I noticed the two times I filled up in FL that I did not smell ethanol in the gas. Another factor is that they are probably still on summer fuel blends in FL so you get more bang for your buck. Winter fuel blends have more volitiles that are not as BTU rich as pure gas. For some reason Ethanol lowers gas miliage more than the slight loss of BTU content you get with 10% Ethanol. Most folks get about 10% less gas miliage on E10. It probably has to do with cooler flame temperatures. So in the end the 10% Ethanol is like an inert substance. So it is like you are only getting 9/10 of a gallon when you burn the stuff. Ethanol has other evils I won't go into.

Same here. I've averaged 17 mpg with our 08 Grand Cherokee CRD towing our FC23FB. It's 23.5 mpg without the trailer.

I have been getting 10.5 mpg at 60 mph pulling my 02 Safari 25 with a 2010 Chevy 2500HD gasser. That is with E10 fuel. I get better fuel economy with non-ethanol gas.

Fuel economy ran 8.5 mpg hauling my SOB trailer which was a smaller lighter trailer than my AS. This was hauling with the same Chevy truck. This was averaged on 20,000 miles of hauling.

With my 2011 Silverado 1500, I get between 11 & 13 mpg. I can burn E85 but it only pays if the price is more than 15% lower than regular. Odd that the mileage is less when I cannot notice any difference in power.

The truck's computer changes things for the lower BTU content fuel. Power should stay the same or even better if it advances the timing a little to take advantage of the higher octane. Usually the computer changes things based on O2 sensor readings.

Pulled the AS to Jackson Center (600 miles) with my '11 Sierra HD/Durmax and averaged 11.5 mpg running about 70mph. I get about 18 when not towing. Effortless towing with the diesel. Total weight it 16,600 lbs. Trailer is 8800 (dry) and truck is 7800.

My 4x4 Suburban avg pulling my 32' AS was about 9mpg. Even with Hensley it was not as comfortable to pull as the Sierra.

We've towed our 2012 International Serenity 27fb from Portland, OR to Tucson, AZ (via Boise, ID and Las Vegas, NV - about 2,100 miles) with our 2011 BMW X5 35d. Fuel economy has been 16.4 mpg...not too bad. Unhitched fuel economy (highway) for the X5 is around 26 mpg. She pulls Ike a champ! You have to love that turbo diesel...

05 Ford F150 w/5.4Liter returns a consistent 11 mpg at indicated 55-60 mph with the Bambi ... not bad, but certainly not the amazing mpg that many others are getting. Often we are under 40 mph going up passes; however, we have broken 20 mpg with the truck by itself! We shall see how the new diesel works out - keeping fingers crossed.
