Ford 150 Tail Gate Obstructed

Just hooked up my new 2015 Ford 150 to my 2015 25' FC and am disappointed that the tailgate hits the power hitch lift at about 45 degrees. I prefer not to extend to hitch shank to get clearance. Has anyone rotated the power hitch lift 90 degrees to gain a few inches of clearance? Is this doable? Would that solve my problem?

I got a new Barker and that's what I did. Now it clears by just enough.

Yes, you should be able to rotate the motor on the jack and gain just enough room. I tried an extension on my 2015 and did not like it. I ultimately swathed to a ProPride hitch when I picked up the 28FC and have plenty of room with it.
