FC 25 Ball Size

What ball size does the coupler on a FC 25 require?

Do all the new AS use the same size?

Thanks!

Every Airstream I've ever seen 2-5/16" ball.

Only the very old Airstreams used a 2" ball, those prior to about 1969 I think. Otherwise a 2 5/16 ball has been standard for years.

What year ? That would help

BTW our '69 25' Tradewind has a 2"

I can understand the 2 5/16" on the later Airstreams as the seem to get larger and heavier every year and the tongue weights over 500#

1969 was the last model year for Airstreams to have a 2" ball. All the newer ones have the larger size, unless modified by a PO.

Hans, unless you are buyng a used trailer without a hitch sold with it and are buying new, I have always done research such as you are doing and then let the selling dealer give me their recommendations as to hitch etc. But as noted all AS since 1969 (I think) are 2-5/16" balls, prior again as stated were 2".

Good Luck

Yes I was thinking of a new FC 25 AS.

I appreciate the quick feedback from everyone! Thank you!
