F150 relay question

I have a 2006 f 150 xlt. I got the relay to run the charging system and running lights but I still have no lights.brake, turn signals and flashers all work. The parts guy didn't know for sure what the part number for the relay is and I suspect I got the wrong part. Does anyone know the part number or where I can find it? Thanks in advanc

You can move the relays around to see if it IS a relay. Ford had a huge problem with moisture entering into the fuse box through bad design and cracked winshields. Google Ford and check on a "GEM" box, located above the fuse box above the driver's side inside compartment..From what I understand, it's a bearcat to replace. Good luck.

So, you have brake lights and turn signals, but none of the running lights work (neither the tail lights on the low-power filament, nor the marker lights)?

Since you have a vintage trailer, are you sure that you have the umbilical connector wired correctly for modern tow vehicles? Did these lights work before and stop, or is this the first time to set up this trailer with this tow vehicle?

If you're familiar with the pinout pattern and a multimeter, you can check for voltage on the truck's output pins. If you're not, or just don't want to fiddle with it, you can get a plug-in tester like this one to check the truck's brake circuitry.

Check to see that the fuse is there. The relay is most likely fine. But a lot of f150s don't come with the fuse for towing accessories. So nothing would work. Other wise check your umbilical pin out.

My 2003 F150 needed both fuses and relays. Don't know thew part #, but don't you have the owner's manual? Auto parts store will have the numbers.
