Electronic anti-sway system

Hello,
New to this forum.
I am a relative novice to towing.
Currently have a Husky Centerline WD with anti-sway and am not very satisfied with performance.

There a couple of very new products on the market that are essentially retrofit kits that add electronic stability control for trailers. They are Dexter Sway Control and the Direct Link/Tucson electronic sway control. These system propose a whole new way to control sway by differentially braking the left or right tires with very short brake pulses based on yaw rate changes sensed on the trailer frame. You would of course still need weight distribution. This seems like a great idea...but does it work?
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks
Schmeeze

I don't have any experience with an electronic sway control system for trailers, but I believe they certainly are worthy of consideration.

Lippert also now is producing the Sway Command Tow Control which is being offered as an option on all Jayco trailers.

Good write ups at MR TRUCK and in older threads here on TUSON (search). See Andrew_T comments (expert opinion).

If you wish to eliminate sway, I recommend a Hensley (or similar) hitch. No sway, ever, under any circumstances.

Schmeeze,

Welcome to Airforums lots of experience, information and of course opinions abound. Hitches are agruably topic #1.

If you could it would help if you told us what your tow vehicle and trailers details are, and just as a curiosity, what is the issue with the Husky Centerline.

And pic's help alot.
