does this look OK to you ???

i recently moved to a new site as camphost, i'll be here for 3-4 months. i positioned the trailer so i could take advantage of the great views from my living room windows. getting the TV over the cement curb with the trailer, and then positioning it just right was a real headache, but now that it's done i'm pleased. my question concerns my power jack that i had to block and crank all the way up just to get me level. the tires are blocked so i'm not worried about the trailer rocking forward, just curious of what you though of my set up. also, the stabilizers are out (of course) but is there anything else i can too as i will be staying here for a while. i don't want to take the tires off however. any advice is welcome.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

For that period of time, you might consider covering the tires to protect them from UV light.

I've never liked the hitch jack sitting on a pile of wood. Those can go over very easily, ask my neighbor. His trailer barely moved and the stack fell over. I prefer a cone with a wide base.

Also, put the cactus in full sun.

I carry a "jack stand", to help support the tongue in questionable situations.

My cone is made of aluminum, but I did have one that was made of plastic and it worked just as well. This one looks better.

Thanks for the pic azflycaster, looks like an attachment to the Jack base. Seems simple enough. I like the extra Jack stand idea too, I just gotta find one tall enough now. Thanks to all who replied, and I will be putting sun covers on those tires. By the way, I found my missing rim cover.

I don't know HOW you got the trailer over that cement parking block! But since you went through all the trouble, now I'd like to see the great view through your living room windows

I have a couple of 6x6, 4x6 and 2x6 wood blocks. Also you could rotate your woodpile so that it is in line with the trailer so it is less likely to get knocked over.

I had one of those cool vintage metal 6" wheel tongue jack thingys. Guess what? They roll. On the slightest incline. You should have seen me holding onto the tongue. The moral- make sure your trailer is not going to roll before you unhitch. Anybody want to buy my metal wheel thingy cheap?

I'd put jack stand something under the hitch, retract the electric jack most of the way and then build a stable base under it. Make it tall enough so you only have to extend the jack a little to get the hitch off the jack stand. Keep all the parts- you'll need them to gets thing back to normal when you are ready to hitch back up to the TV.

I would also slide the landscape timber further under the trailer to keep from tripping over it. It might go in far enough to block both sides.

I find as I age I trip over just about everything. However; the alternative to aging is not a good solution.

Can I jump in here? I too am at a park for some time, 8 months exactly. For some reason when I arrived and had the help of neighbors to get set up and leveled we all saw the water level inside the A/S and all looked great.

BUT especially in the mornings when I'm walking from the bathroom to the livingroom I feel abit leaney - from side to side. Why is this? I don't have a TV to mess around with putting boards etc under the wheels and I feel kinda committed now with my neighbors and all. ANYWAYS, any clever ideas? Front to back is good, it just feels like it's leaning towards curb side.

Thanks! AC

Someone was selling the metal cone jack stands here in the classified section a while back. Sorry, I'm not sure who it was.

I know the plastic cone type can be bought at Camping World, and probably other RV supply stores.

While we weren't living in it, I certainly had the front of our trailer up in the air while I was doing work on it.
The front of the car is under the front of the trailer...:
