With the very short wheelbase I had many white knuckle moments but never felt the set up was unsafe. A friend convinced me to try out a equalizer hitch and I couldn't believe the difference. I now tow with a Ford expedition and weight distribution and sway control are always on when pulling the Argosy. If my father wants to go camping we use his truck, a f350 diesel dually, and use only the ball.

Wow. Was that the small Bronco or the larger truck based bronco? Either way I cannot imagine the pucker factor you probably experienced.

It's a fullsize. Sway was never an issue with it, hard braking on the other hand could get interesting.
