I have the Canyon diesel and not towed yet but sure am eager to. I have been told that someone purchased a FC 22 with the regular colorado and it pulled fine, thats all I have heard.

I've had my diesel Canyon since the end of February, now with close to 8000 miles, and about 3500 of that towing our 19' Winick Bambi. It has exceeded my expectations, both as a daily driver and as a tow vehicle. Previously we towed this same trailer with an '07 Nissan Frontier, which really struggled here in the mountain west, and in May was able to tow with the Canyon over one my more dreaded passes, the Siskiyou on I-5 between Oregon and California. It's about a 12 mile climb at mostly a 6% grade. In the Nissan, I'd be at maybe 50mph and 5000+ rpm. This May in the Canyon, I did that same pass at 60 - 65mph and around 3000 rpm. And the diesel has an exhaust brake as standard equipment, so brake application going down steep grades is pretty much non-existent.

For mileage, I'm getting around 22 in town and a little over 30 on the highway. When on an extended tow, it averages between 16.5 to 17.5, depending on how much climbing is done on a trip.

I use the Andersen wd hitch, and the combination of truck, trailer, and that hitch has been a real pleasure to drive. I added a set of Auto Spring add-a-leaf in the back, with Eibach Pro Truck Sport shocks all around, and the rear only squats one inch when hooking up the trailer.

I also added a set of tow mirrors from Clearview Mirrorshttp://www.clearviewmirrors.com.au out of Australia, definitely one of the best things I've done to the truck.

Although the engine is rather small in size, the truck is relatively light. As we found with our EcoDiesel, the truck's capability may surprise you. Looks to be a very nice Airstream towing rig, its getting the loads and hitching right, and owner expectations in line with the product that will matter.
