When we converted the 2014 Classic to Kodiak 12" disc brakes, the distributor of the Titan RiteBrake II SD never mentioned that it was incompatible with ALL factory installed trailer brake controllers. I found out that tidbit of information driving home through the mountains in the dark. It was challenging.....
So we started the research into a third party trailer brake controller along with researching how to bypass the factory controller without throwing error codes in the 2012 Dodge Ram 2500HD Cummins. We settled on the Tuson OBD plug DireLink NE trailer brake controller and found the bypass information for the truck wiring.
This combination has worked well.
When the BrakeRite II gives up, we will probably convert to the Tuson Actulink ABS brake controller and replumb the brakes lines and replace the existing disc brakes for ABS models. That is the ultimate safe brake system for the our Classic that weighs around 9,300 pounds camping ready.
