At the storage site, we have poles on each side of our space. The polls are mounted on concrete pilings. If we go in perfectly we have 11" of clearance on each side. So we put the stick on the piling with 11" sticking out and aim to kiss it. Then we know we have good clearance both sides.

The stick is also threaded on one end so we can put our squeegee on it.

Was his security clearance adequate for that disclosure? Took years back in my day when tires were bias, we argued sedan versus wagon, and the AS keychain had a points file integrated.

Truck scales in Oregon are open all year long and many are low volume use and available to the public that aren't limited to commercial trucks. Sometime it can take a few hours to measure and weigh to get a very balanced set up. Once done properly, it can make a huge improvement in towing and handling.
Almost all RV dealers do not have scales and often I've helped members of our unit readjust their WD systems. I just helped a friend readjust her system set up by a major nationwide RV dealer. It was done so poorly it took 3 hours to completely reinstall and adjust the system. It was so bad, the torsion bars were screaming as she drove because the dealer had seriously over loaded the bars because the system was so far out of alignment.
The OP said he had a Bambi.

Single axle.

Over complicating things for them a tad me thinks.

Smart Weigh is THE BEST way to go. Escapees & RVSEF events usually have the service available for a modest fee. After you get PROPERLY weighed, a trained tech will go over your results and, will be able to tell you exactly what PSIs you should have in each tire. You'll also learn if you need to shift any major weight around (NO RV is perfectly balanced side~side. Sometimes an imbalance can be serious). Some of the events will also ACCURATELY measure your rig's height. Once you've been Smart Weighed, unless you make MAJOR changes to your set up, you'll never have to do it again.

SW has the single advantage of individual wheel weighing at one time. On a Cat Scale it takes a few more passes.

Plus changes need to be tested. And a yearly check against changes and unseen wear.

SW is a service I'd pay for. But there's not anything can't be done by the owner on his own. Just takes more time.
