Carrying a 60lb electric fat tire bike on Fiamma rack

I have a Fiamma bike rack on the bumper of my 2007 19 ft SE Safari LE. I have carried 2 mountain bikes that weigh aprox 30 lbs each and have had no problem. I recently bought a 60 lb electric bike that weighs 53/lbs w/o battery. It has 4 inch fat tires. Has anyone used their rack to carry a single e-bike? I saw a picture a while back of a rack on an AS with 2 e-bikes that had failed and dumped the bikes on the ground. I will use it for one e-bike. But was hoping to get a wide rail from Fiamma. By the way, this may have been posted previously, but when I called Fiamma US for tech support and a possible fat tire rail the accountant informed me that on June 5 th 2017 a disgruntled employee came back and shot and killed All 5 of the staff encluding the technicians and she was the only one left and was trying to handle parts. I am sure this was posted before but what a horrible tragedy. She said they were pleading with Fiamma Italy to send trained technicians to restaff. But so far nothing has been done.
Thanks,
Ken

Yes a real tragedy. The new search function above with the blue border works great, so FYI here are the search results for "Fiamma bike rack" ---

https://www.google.com/search?q=Fiam...=airforums.com

IMO the rack should be able to handle your one bike. Is is possible to hold the tires on the narrow bottom rail safely, by using bungee cords etc.?

Good luck!

Fiamma rack and e-bike

Thanks Peter,
Wow, The new search engine box works great. I will give the rack a try with the e-bike.

My wife and I have 2 e-bikes. We put a rack on the front of the pickup. Installed a hitch with a heavy duty bike rack. The nice part about that is we can take the bikes with us when we don’t have the AS hitched on. If we are camping and want to hit the bike trails nearby it makes it easier to do so. It really isn’t a distraction either.

Hi

My recollection also is that the stock rack isn't going to be happy with 120 LB of bikes on it. Things will depend a bit on just how crazy you get road wise. A 19' probably is better than a 30' in that respect.
