Best locking receiver pin recommendations?
I need to replace my Reese receiver locking pin. The old one is pretty new but I had a devil of a time getting it unlocked today. Spray lube doesn't help so I need to get a new one.
Any recommendations?

Not sure why you would need a locking pin?

Well, for me $199 in Rocktamers and $249 for an adjustable stinger. They do walk away.

I've had this one for about 5 years. Don't know if it's better or worse than any other. Shows little wear. I picked up the first 2.5" pin I found...at Farm and Fleet, IIRC.

I used one that uses a barrel key lock with a 1/4 turn lock. It was out in the weather on my old truck for my 2" receiver for 10 years...no problems. The barrel key locks don't freeze up like those with a standard key lock. Had to get a new one for my new truck as it uses a 2.5" receiver. I got one from eTrailer that I like as it has a smaller profile...like this one... Diversi-Tech Quarter-Turn Chrome-Plated Hitch Lock for 2" Hitches - Tube Key Diversi-Tech Locks DT30005

"Bolt" locking pins are the only way to go! They are the only one that keys to your tow vehicle's ignition key. You just order one for your make and model, insert your key and presto, no more having another key to mess with. They are sealed against the weather also. I have had two, one for my previous GMC and now have one on my new F-350. The only drawback is you can't have them re-keyed, but I still like only having one key for everything on my truck. I have the auto-locking door on my Leer top that locks and unlocks with my key fob, no key for that task.

I just upgraded to a Titan Class V receiver, which I bought from etrailer. With the upgrade, I ordered the 1469DAT Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Lock for 2-1/2" Receivers by Master Lock for $25 from them.
My preference is for stainless steel. Chrome plated steel will rust if the chrome gets nicked or worn.
