Hello All:
We recently acquired a 25' Safari LS in place of our old 19' Bambi which we stored on a side yard next to our garage. We are hoping to do the same with the Safari however, it is a TANDEM axle and as you can imagine is not quite as easy to manuever with two of us to rotate it 90 degrees.
We were told that an Electric or Battery Operated Tow Dolly would help us immensly when hooked up to the ball hitch.
Can anyone recommend a good Dolly to use for a TANDEM Wheel Safari. We have to pull the trailer down our alley, and pivot it 90 degrees and then from there we do have a winch to help us pull it forward.

I know you will think this is stupid, but when I had a tandem axle 25' AS and a very very difficult place to put it, I would take off the rear tires to move it into place. The problem was that the sideways scrubbing of the dual's made it virtually impossible to move precisely enough to put it into place. By effectively temporarily converting it to a single axle unit I had a much easier time in placement. The dolly I used at that time was called a Maco Mule, but I have not seen them advertised in a lot of years. It was a manual, not an electric dolly and had to be used with great care as it could very easily allow the trailer to run away if not on a dead level surface.

A few minutes ago I was looking at Craigs List Phoenix (I winter here) and found a Power Mover for $775. Apparently it is commercially made.

Search Phoenix Craigs List, For Sale, recreational vehicles, airstream and it should come up, with the photo. It is electric, half hp motor. Nice that it is local to you.
