Anyone using a GEN-Y Torsion hitch?

I currently have a ProPride 3P hitch and it works well but I am purchasing a new 2018 F-250 and it has a lot of electronics for sway control and reverse monitoring that the ProPride doesn't play nice with. I also am tired of dealing with the backup issues with a ProPride hitch and the difficulty and noise of setting up when hitching up early in the morning.

I have been looking at the Gen-Y torsion series of hitches which look really good at softening the ride for the trailer and truck. Has anyone been using this hitch and what are your impression?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I narrowed down my hitch choices to the Gen-y or the Airsafe.
Went with the Airsafe and ordered it yesterday. Basically I like the idea of being able to adjust to any tongue weight. I bought the class 7 Airsafe. It has a 2 1/2 inch draw bar for my factory 2 1/2” receiver. That gives me the ability, by adjusting the air pressure, to pull any trailer up to 2500’ TW and 25000’ GTW
The Airsafe also adds shock absorbers to further soften the ride. Since I will be towing with a Ram 3500 Dually, I want to isolate the course ride of the rear of the truck from the trailer as much as possible.

The Gen-y hitch tongue weights have a specific min and max TW range which I felt too limiting.

Airsafe is offering a 10% discount starting 3/1.

Good luck in your decision.

Would be interested to hear your real world towing evaluation of the hitch in action. Please let us know

Yippi, I won’t be using an equalizer hitch but I do know that the Airsafe hitch is compatible with them.

I’d like your pro pride if you are going to ditch it.
