Congrats on the new truck! You'll love the Diesel. The oil changes are a bit more expensive but you do have 15 qts of oil after all. I do run an additive in cold weather. I believe that it helps with cold starts in Michigan winters. I have the older 7.3 PSD the crew cab. Love the room, the power, and the mileage (compared to the gas engines).

Good thing I had signed the papers for a new one about an hour earlier. Daisy will be joining the family tomorrow. Pictures to follow when I get a working camera.

I managed to pick up the parts for my hitch that were damaged and we got the replacement parts for the tongue latch from AS of Spokane (thank you for your quick service).

Butter Cup should be ready to tow by the end of the day tomorrow.
I expect to leave West Yellowstone early Saturday.
I feel your pain Lost my quad steer this past summer, got me a new TV with out Quad steer. It was tough loss, but one must endure

It has the tow command. All I really wanted was the towing mirrows. I am not sure how well the tow command will word with the Actibrake system.
SOme say it works great, some say I will have problems. I will find out in about an hour when I hook up the trailer and truck. I am goignto take a slwo speed trip around town and set the gain and check her out.

This thing has a turbo charged engine. I have no loss of power at 7000 feet!

So, almost two weeks into the new towing adventure, how do you like Daisy?

Michelle - did you get the tow mirrors? If not - I have done 4 sets for me and some friends - takes about an hour to do the first and 20 minutes to do each after that. Little learning curve on where to pull on the molding and inside panel - the rest is easy. If you need I can talk you through it - you can do it yourself - they are available on Ebay for a little less than from FORD.

The fisrt trip was from West Yellowstone to La Grande, OR with a stop in Boise for the night. One trip to Boise and back without the trailer. The automatic transmission is a big help when towing. Less tired when I arrive at my destination. The rest of the time has been running around LA Grande, OR. Saturday I go to Richland, WA for the bed liner. Back to Boise for the Cap. Then pictures.

I installed the new stereo and backup camera last weekend. This should help hitching up to the trailer tremendously. 1200 miles in two weeks. I like it. I love to hear the turbo spinning up. Something you cannot hear in the planes I fly.
Overall impression. I like it!

Michelle, Your photos of your accident were truly bone-chilling, but your rebound is amazing, and your attitude about carrying on is absolutely inspiring and heartwarming. Best of luck to you and your entourage!
