IMO, GVWR should be respected, just like axle ratings or tire ratings. It is my understanding that the sum of axle ratings exceeds GVWR to allow the load to be distributed unevenly front and rear, and the sum of tire ratings exceeds axle rating to allow the load to be distributed unevenly right and left.

I agree, that makes sense to me. I love this forum; a lot of good information here. But you have to separate the wheat from the chaff, I guess.

While I prefer not to be over GVWR while towing my actual experiences are the same as Dougs. I am not making a recommendation for you only sharing what I have experienced. When TW is good (it always is with an AS) axles are evenly distributed and axle weight not exceeded nor is GCWR. I use the term CVWR but same thing. The truck always handles and rides smoothly brakes well and is very stable.

Looking at OP numbers I'll bet that combination tows well. I see no "danger" in them. Danger is the bub who takes his HD or LD and says according to the truck manufactures numbers it should handle this fine and weighs nothing doesn't consider a WDH etc.
