2014 GM Trucks Anti-Sway Control

Hello All

We do not yet own an AS but are in the market - also for a TV.

I have read the specs on the new 2014 GM trucks and anti-sway control is mentioned as an option. Has anyone had any experience with this yet and if so, how was it? Would this negate the need for a Hensley or Propride?

Thanks for your input.

It works well. Has been on some GM vehicles for several years. HOWEVER, it does not prevent sway or an out of control situation. It helps regain control AFTER an event occurs. PP and HA help PREVENT an event. IMO, you are best protected with both.

Ditto x3 ^^^
I have 2012 with this feature and have accidentally invoked the control feature. It works!

Good feature, has it's limits, but it'll probably never come into play with the Hensley/Propride design, and that's a really good thing. Don't miss the best possible towing experience.

X4

After the sway starts it helps prevent overcorrection by the driver...a good thing. But it does nothing to PREVENT, proper set-up is still paramount.

Agreed proper setup and use always better than invoking "safety" features.

I was towing a Flatbed trailer in open pasture a bit juvenile fashion. That was "my bad" as the younger folks say.

To state once more - Sway control does not prevent sway or an out of control situation. It helps regain control AFTER an event occurs. PP and HA help PREVENT an event.!
