2006 Yukon Brake Control Harness and Fuse

Hi All -
I am installing a Tekonsha Envoy brake controller in my 2006 Yukon, using the OE controller harness. The OE harness had a fuse attached (40A), the instructions said place it in Stud 2 in the underhood fuse panel however there alread is a fuse there (40A), and it is not even close to the same form factor. The Brake controller lights green, but does not light red when I brake regardless of the fine tuning setting. It does light red when I engage the thumb switch, and the trailer brakes do engage. Any thoughts?

Thanks -
Jay

Hi Jhelion; I installed one in 02 Trailblazer equipped with 5200 lbs towing package. The color coded wires were located underneath the lower dash panel cover all neately taped up in the extreme left hand corner. It is my understanding that all late GM are the same way. I did not have to go under the hood and it works perfect. " boatdoc'
