Yes, that's true. The numbers in that chart I posted are for trailers with toilets, bathtubs, sinks, a lot of copper plumbing, water pump, tanks, stove, refer, water heater, furnace, in short a Bunch of Stuff!

It's going to be interesting to see what it really weighs!

The snow just left last weekend, now I have to wait for the ground to dry up a bit so the beast and the TV don't become permanent fixtures in my side lawn. Another week or so as long as there aren't any major rains. I'm anxious to see as well, I think the weight on the tag is WAY over actual.

So being an ex DOD unit does the ownership read:
Trailer, Airstream, Excella, Classroom. This only makes sense to any CDN military members.

Chris,

Shouldn't it be:

"Trailer, Airstream, Excella, Classroom, soldiers, for the use of" .....

Now, I think that the weight Rob&Julie mentioned (8,600 pounds) was the maximum GROSS weight for the trailer, which, given the weight in the chart I posted would make sense. I don't think it's too hard to put a couple thousand pounds of "stuff" into a 32' trailer.

But let's wait to see what it weighs...

Aage add aluminium, silver, self contained, non-propelled.
I think I will don my coat, mens, combat, green and think about it some more.

lol, the "manual" that came with the trailer was referenced like this ;-)

The genset generator chapter started off with a physical description of the generator followed by a list of one sentence instructions from "twist silver cap located on top of generator counterclockwise and remove" to "fill with gas"

Unfortunately, the generator didn't come with the trailer.

I make fun but consistency and simplicity is required in all tasks when the risk of high speed lead poisoning is a part of your job description!

I just checked out your picture, what a cool trailer. Looking at the WBCCI numbers and stars, the PPO (Previous, Previous owner) was a member for at least 20 years before the DND got it.

Is there any way to find out who that PPO is (hopefully not was)??

If they are still Airstreaming it would be nice to know what the trailer looked like before the DND refit.

Well the snow was gone....it came back for an April Fools storm. Almost a foot on the ground. Good thing is that it won't last long. BUT it will be a bit before I can get it off its pad...unfortunate.

Rob & Julie post your red numbers here and the club historian will research the number once he has time and will post the results for you back on that thread.

Well it took a LONG time....a bit of procrastination followed by another winter....but the trailer dry weight as it is today is 5808 lbs and oddly enough the tongue weight is 770lbs....?
