1969 23' safari ball size

I pick up my new to me 1969 safari tomorrow. I forgot to note the size ball the hitch requires. It appears to have the original hitch. Can anyone tell me what size ball I can expect to need for this?

Most likely…..

A 2 5/16 th

You could bring a 2'' and return if you don't need it.

You are going to need/want a weight distribution hitch sooner or sooner.

Probably 2"

All the 60's vintage AS's I have owned use a 2" ball.

1969 was a change in the body style and a transition from the 2" to 2 5/16" ball. A 1969 could have either one.

I have a 72' 22 footer with a 2" ball hitch. It looks original.
